Hartwood Mansion and Park Pittsburgh's Hartwood Mansion and Park includes a Tudor house constructed in the early 1900s, as well as a equestrian center with riding trails that are still used. Guided tours of the house and the grounds are offered throughout the year, with special Christmas visits available to the intricate decorations including a train set, several trees and a kissing bell. After passing away in 1999, Charles Brown III left his collection of musical instruments and his house to be transformed into a museum. Displayed in the house are music boxes of all shapes and sizes, an automatic banjo, a Seeburg Pipe Organ Orchestra from the silent film era and many other unique pieces. Walk along the pathway that winds through the property and see the pools and gardens. Children must be at least 12 years old to go on the tours, which is offered year round by appointment. Located on the Frick Art and Historical Center ground, Clayton is a restored mansion that was built in the 1880s. Owned by Henry Clay Frick, the 23-room residence contains many of the family's possessions. Tours are available Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
