    Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden

    Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden takes people into ancient Israel with its garden, which is filled with more than 100 tropical plants, streams, waterfalls and desert area. Biblical plants are featured inside, with verses accompanying each one. Open for June to September, the garden has a theme running through each season that can be explored through the guided tours, lectures, exhibits and programs.

    Heinz Memorial Chapel

    Completed in 1938, the Heinz Memorial Chapel was originally to be a memorial for his mother, but Henry John Heinz's children wanted to include him in the building's legacy. Heinz passed on in 1919 and in 1934 the cornerstone was laid on the University of Pittsburgh grounds. Inside the neo-Gothic styled chapel is a 4,272-pipe organ, 23 stained-glass windows, oak furnishings, stone carvings and many other features. The chapel is non denominational and hosts tours, weddings and events.
